Green Business Club Amsterdam Sloterdijken, together with GBC Zaanstad and participant Milieu Service Nederland, is launching a practical program for companies aiming to reduce their waste. Participating businesses will gain insight into their waste streams, hands-on zero waste knowledge, and concrete tools to minimize residual waste.
Start: during the Week Without Waste, May 19–23, 2025.
The transition to a circular economy is no longer optional — it’s a shared responsibility. Yet many businesses struggle with the question: how do you tackle this in practice? With the Zero Waste Program, we offer practical support and measurable results.
The Zero Waste Program helps businesses in Sloterdijk Nieuw-West achieve at least a 10% reduction in residual waste within 12 months.
“Less waste means not only lower costs but also compliance with reporting obligations and circular goals,” says Eva Krul, project lead at GBC Amsterdam Sloterdijken.
“This program makes sustainability achievable for local businesses, regardless of size or sector.”
Participant Milieu Service Nederland is offering a professional waste scan worth €2,000 to a total of 13 companies — including 5 from Sloterdijk Nieuw-West. Participants will receive:
The program runs for 6 months and kicks off with a joint kick-off session at Milieu Service Nederland in Diemen in June 2025. This will be followed by on-site waste scans and online sessions on topics like sustainable behavior, zero waste strategies, and circular procurement.
After one year, results will be measured to evaluate the waste reduction achieved.
Participation is free for members of GBC Amsterdam Sloterdijken.
Non-members can join the full program for €249 including VAT.
The online knowledge sessions can also be attended separately.
